PayID Deposits (AUD only)

PayID is a simple and secure deposit method that allows you to make direct payments to CoinByte without needing a card.

💡 Please note:

  • Deposits to your CoinByte account must come from a bank account registered under the same name as your CoinByte account.
  • PayID deposits are available exclusively to Australian dollars.

How to deposit funds with a PayID​

1. Find your CoinByte details for the PayID address​

App​

  1. Select Deposit in the Dashboard.
  2. Select Fiat deposit, then select AUD.
  3. Select Quick deposit at the bottom of the page.
  4. Enter the amount you want to deposit, select Continue.
  5. Copy the details from the deposit information.

2. Make a new deposit from your bank​

  1. Log in your bank, create a new payment via bank transfer.
  2. Create a new payment via PayID (or pay someone using an email address).
  3. Enter the email address copied from the deposit screen.
  4. Feel free to enter any information you wish in the reference field for your records. Your bank transfer deposit will still be processed successfully if you don't include a reference.
  5. Enter the amount you want to send to complete the transfer.

How long do PayID transfers take?​

  • Usually instant

Deposit Delays​

Your first PayID deposit may take up to 24 business hours to be credited to your CoinByte account due to security protocols implemented by banks.

Additionally, Commonwealth Bank (CBA) and its affiliate Bankwest apply a 24-hour hold on deposits to cryptocurrency trading platforms. This is part of the banks' internal procedures, regardless of whether you have previously made a deposit to our exchange.

If your deposit is delayed:

  1. Check the status of the deposit in your online banking. If it shows as 'Pending', it is still with your bank.
  2. Contact your bank to inquire about the delay.
  3. Note that banking business hours apply. For example, if a deposit is made on a Friday or over the weekend, it is likely to arrive by the following Monday.
  4. If you still can’t find out the reason why your deposit isn’t reaching your CoinByte account, please refer contact us by live chat.

Limits​

  • Minimum deposit amount: $10 AUD
  • Daily Deposit Limit: $50,000 AUD

Fees for PayID deposits​

💡 Please Note: There are no fees for deposits to CoinByte.

  • Free
    Your financial institution may charge a fee.

Verification​

We may ask you to complete further verification if we find a suspicious deposit for your account.
